Effective March 3, 2013 the EUTR Regulation No. 995 dated 20 October 2010 (Timber Regulation) has entered officially in force introducing mandatory traceability of wood sub-products to prevent the entry into the European Union of goods resulting from timber illegally cut in their countries of origin.
In view of these new regulations, Bellotti implemented the necessary procedures to collect information and documentation required by the Regulations, which are included in a system now known as "Due Diligence" in imports.
Bellotti has always been careful and aware of the environmental, social and economic effects of all parties involved in the supplying cycle, observance of which constitutes the basis for the implementation of sustainable business activities. For several years the company has been FSC and PEFC certified and used clean energy thanks to 1 MW photovoltaic plant installed at its facility since 2009.
Bellotti confirms, once again, the company's commitment in updating its procedures to guarantee its Customers a consistently reliable product and compliance with international legislations in force.
