Bellotti in Expo2015.
With its products and its technological competence Bellotti took part in the construction of two spaces within the exhibition area of the Expo, where the raw material wood has a dominant role.
Expo 2015 is an Universal Exposition, an innovative exhibition, but also a participatory process that aims to actively involve many actors around a crucial theme: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. A unique event that embodies a new concept of Expo: thematic, sustainable and technological.
Thanks to the experience in the construction industry, Bellotti was selected by Moretti Interholz, general contractor and partner EXPO, to provide some materials for the construction of two main areas devoted to rice and cocoa. The two areas are in turn divided into two sub-areas, each consisting of three wooden buildings and 1 in steel, for a total of 16 buildings, designed with a modular system. The main structure of each building is completely made of laminated wood, with total covered area of about 1900 square meters. Each building has three floors (ground floor, first floor and second floor). Ceilings are laminated wood with roof framed panels.
For vertical insulation panel Laripan® Bellotti has been chosen structure with its sandwich structure: insulating panel made of polystyrene coated on one side with OSB and one side with a Spruce panel of three layers ; lightness, size cut attitude and dimensions of these panels allow a rapid and safe running further than an optimal combination of physical-mechanical properties. Even the 3 technical buildings, which will house the facilities, will be fully covered by the insulating Laripan® Bellotti panels.
The Shanghai Boat Show will be the next fair in the marine sector which Bellotti will participate in, from the 9th to the 13rd April. The CIBS is the most influential international event in China, and, in its 20 years of existence it has been giving a significant boost to the sailing culture and to the sea lifestyle.
Bellotti will participate in the fair to enhance and implement their presence on the Chinese boat market which nowadays shows a wide growth margin.
In the Italian Pavilion the company will be introducing its products for the marine sector: marine plywood, proposed in a wide range of aesthetic finishing, assuring resistance to any environmental condition; innovative lightweight composite panels, assembling wood and special cores such as low density foam, cork, rubber and recyclable PET and offering an excellent compromise among strength, lightness and heat- and soundproofing insulation as well as teak planks and semi-finished products for boat decking.
